http://www.slcgov.com/mayor/refugee/domviolence.pdf SLC Mayors Office Domestic Violence Info YMCA Shelter – Salt Lake City In 1976 the YWCA opened the first domestic violence shelter in the state of Utah, and one of the first in the country.  The 75-bed shelter continues to provide crisis intervention, advocacy for women and children, extended shelter, and a private room.
