Well, we were never big fans of the series, but we did see the movie and mostly follow along after getting crib sheets from the Internet. It appears there’s something else out there – another movie, that is. “I’m at the point where I finally miss it,” Duchovny said. “I wanted the grind to end, but I never wanted the show just to end. And I’d always had this fantasy and hope that it would be a movie franchise. Hopefully, this second movie will give it a foundation as such.” Oh, so now he’s ready to come back? Guess it…

Coming Soon! – Latest News on Amazing Race. At last, a firm broadcast premiere date! Variety reports that CBS has firmed up plans for its summer schedule, and the biggest news is the networks’ decision to pair established hit Brother Brother with the Emmy-winning The Amazing Race to create a two-hour reality block on Tuesdays from 9-11 p.m. CBS is also planning to bow Mike Fleiss’ The Will during the summer. Both “Brother” and “Race” will have 90-minute season premieres on Tuesday, July 6, with Big Brother 5 airing from 8-9:30 p.m. and “Race” following from 9:30-11 p.m. (snip) “Race”…

Some links to watch while waiting for CBS to announce when The Amazing Race 5 will begin (rumored to be sometime after Survivor: All Stars finishes). TARflies Times Josh’s site Amander ‘n Chris’ site Television Without Pity | Amazing Race Forum Google “The Amazing Race” sorted by date Arghhh. And no, I didn’t fill out the application, which for some reason is already for TAR 6. There is much speculage on the TWOP boards about why they posted the new application before the 5th installment even airs.

Josh, of father and son team “Weezer and Geezer” (Amazing Race 4) reports hopeful news: the next installment may air on CBS soon after Survivor All Stars ends. Woop! Woop! Woop! Woop! Woop! Batten down the hatches! Buy many blank tapes! Forget doing anything that night other than parking on the sofa and hollering “Nooooo! Not that way, doofi!” at the TV (sorry, David, the madness begins again soon). By the way, Josh’s site with his dad is fun to visit now and then, since it’s a dual entry blog. Chris n’ Amander’s (or Amander n’ Chris’) site is even…

The Reviews: BostonHerald.com – the Edge: Time trials: CBS’ legal drama ‘Century City’ avoids future shlock Welcome to Dullsville, er, Century City So the reviews are mixed, but David and I enjoyed it. It gets the geek crowd and the Law & Order crowd on one sofa… And hey! In the “geriatric boy band” subplot, they killed Martouf again, those bastards! At least he got to play a hot looking 72-year-old. But on the other hand, they got freakin’ Anthony Zerbe to bust a few moves at Martouf’s funeral. Now that was funny. He looked like he was having a…

Oh, Wesley, you really shouldn’t take in a stray, even if it does look like your lost love. I reserve judgement on whether Fred will come back. As Spike and Angel admitted, it’s been done before, no big deal. Which is why now (with the series ending) it would actually be a surprise if Fred really was permanently dead, and not just mostly dead. (kudos to Amy Acker, who got to do something interesting for the first time in a while) Imagine if that was the series-ending episode…. yikes. I hope there are a few more eps in the pipeline.

From Accordion Guy: a list of things we wish we knew how to say in Aramaic while watching “The Passion of the Christ.” Notably missing are translations for: Everybody, sit on this side of the table, or you won’t be in the painting. “Always look on the bright side of life…” Crucfixion? No, I’m here for freedom. (On the cross): I can see my house from here! Hey, Siddhartha! You just sat under a tree — I got nailed to one, yuppie-boy! Collectively, they all got a big “Hee!!!” from me. Only the other morning, I switched over the car…

***Dave reports exciting Farscape news, in addition to previous exciting Firefly news and B5 news (a friend has the Variety article on the Firefly news here. But is this a real “bricks and mortar” production, or an online production? It looks like a project put together by former makeup/character production crew members… need to dig a little. And while I do, this article is pretty amusing and/or depressing if you’re a fan of TV science fiction (and yes, we have Scare Tactics triple thumbs-downed, thanks for asking)

Yeah, I like this show…I’ve been watching it for a while now. And slowly, gradually and imperceptibly, we’ve gradually gotten most of the house cleared out, cleaned up, and organized. The worst areas are now the hidden-from-public view areas: The Big Lair O’ Computers in the basement, and the garage (which isn’t that bad, just needs more shelving and a good cleaning out after the last frost, when I get the rain barrels set up again). And today when we get home, the house will be clean, because we signed up with a cleaning service – one we used several…
