SO NOT GOOD, MAYNARD. Vote, because our lives, freedom, and democracy itself depend on defeating these basstids. Link: Leaked memo reveals plan for Trump to skip ‘traditional background checks’ if elected: NYT – Raw Story

It’s about frickin’ time, NY Times, but until you stop sanewashing Der Drumpfuhrer in your headlines, sabotaging your reporters’ stories, I’m not subscribing. For all the shit we’ve given the NYTimes in this election season, they have really pulled out all the stops to make up for it the last couple of days. This was yesterday’s front page. Here are a couple of the inside pages in the same issue. There are more. A huge section was devoted to this subject. I have… Link: The NY Times Comes Through – Digby’s Hullabaloo

Why are we not surprised? And ye gads, that photo in the article. I’m not reposting the image here because the photo credit is under Getty Images. PALO ALTO, Calif. — Long before he became one of Donald Trump’s biggest donors and campaign surrogates, South African-born Elon Musk worked illegally in the United States as he launched his entrepreneurial career after ditching a graduate studies program in California, according to former business associates, court records and company documents obtained by The Washington Post. Earlier today, the Washington Post declined to endorse a candidate in the US Presidential Election. Reportedly, an opinion endorsing VP Kamala Harris had been written but was killed by either the current CEO, or owner-oligarch Jeff Bezos. Many people have canceled their WaPo subscriptions; I just can’t in an election year. So instead, here’s an endorsement from UK liberal bastion paper, The Guardian. Which I read for free, but I may subscribe. God knows I read them constantly. Editorial: The decision of American voters will be profoundly consequential for everyone. A Harris victory would offer some hope… Link: The…

“This memorial honors the brave men and women who broke into the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021 to loot, urinate and defecate throughout those hallowed halls in order to overturn an election”

There are nice, thoughtful, diverse people who live in Marjorie Taylor Greene’s district. A brown-skinned immigrant with a foreign accent talked to them about everything except politics and was rewarded with interesting conversations. He was initially apprehensive, but found only friendly locals. It sounds like someone needs to give them an alternative to MTG in two years.
