Now that it's a GOP Congress, my Senator Mark Kirk sends me a triumphant email that he supports the suspiciously ebullient-sounding Hire More Heroes Act

Funny how the GOP gets to claim victory no matter what happens, but vets almost never win. GOP blocks veterans bill Republicans said the new healthcare and education programs was not properly paid for. Read at Google+

Security (Comedy) Theatre – Stansted In The Out Door

Thousands of people at London's Stansted airport were screwed up because some people deplaning from a Ryanair flight from Lisbon entered the terminal through the wrong door, breaking security protoccol and forcing the airport to re-screen everyone. Who left the door open? I'm confused, as usually there are these things called "jetways," but I don't know Stansted airport and it was a Ryanair flight, so that's the equivalent of airborne steerage, and likely using a little-used gate or parking area because it's cheaper. Stansted delays after Ryanair passengers go through wrong door Thousands faced delays of up to an hour…
