Switching over to the new Social Media 2 WordPress plugin by +Daniel Treadwell – following his directions and using this as my first test. Replaces the Google+Blog plugin (the paid version) and now updateable via the normal WordPress plugin process. YES!

notWERKING ERMAGERD,UPDATE: it's working! I had neglected to check the "overwrite older posts" and imported 10 instead of 50. The Run Now link wasn't working for me (my website has weird issues) but forcing an "hourly" import by deactivating/reactivating worked.
