Turns out I didnt miss Episode 1 of Neverwhere! They're repeating it, but DRAT, I may have dinner plans. If you have a Second Life account, you can listen at the linked location, or via any internet radio service (easy to find on TuneIn). Embedded Link Riel Theatre presents: Neverwhere (Episode 1) Trying again after last week’s technical failure. Tonight Riel Theatre presents the BBC Radio production of Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, adapted by Dirk Maggs. When Richard Mayhew stumbles across a ho… Google+: View post on Google+

One of the Second Life blogs I read occasionally pointed me at something I hadn’t noticed in the golly-whillikers inducing change in the look of Flickr. They’ve gotten rid of Pro accounts, and once the paid subscriptions I have for myself, my church, and my Second Life accounts run out, I’m pretty sure I’m not going to renew all of them. Why should I, with prices like these just to avoid ads? Well, at least I’m grandfathered in as a current Pro member, I can renew for another two years for the current cost of a one year “Ad Free”…

Tooting my own blog horn here, but I had to admit Google got me with today's Doodle 4 Google. It almost makes up for having to sit through the trailer for their movie earlier this week, and now you can, too. I’m off this week, I’ve been getting stuff done at home, and today’s the designated “de-clutter the living room and drop stuff off at Sparrow’s Nest day.” But I stopped to log in and check email, and also research an under-desk keyboard tray because the built-in one on my desk broke (no great loss). Typically, I start with Google, as it’s my default home page. I have to admit, they got me with this one, but the story behind it is even better. High school senior Sabrina Brady’s entry into Google’s annual Doodle 4 Google contest really stood out. The…

Even if you'd never tried Second Life, you could listen to this excellent radio drama that they're streaming tonight. Also: excellent roundel! Disturbing, shameful story of how 'temp agencies' exploit poor immigrants. Well done, @ProPublica http://t.co/mQEreyx0Uw 2013-04-30 @GeekFurious I was hoping for a full-on rescue attempt that involved big-ass bungies and an airbag suit. 2013-04-30 I admit that I laughed at the "bewildering array of hairstyles" montage, though. But the "countdown stopped at 2 seconds? Cliché. #Castle 2013-04-30 @GeekFurious You'd get a bewildering array of hairstyles just in the super slomo alone. 2013-04-30 @GeekFurious It would've worked, too, if it weren't for those meddlesome montage editors. 2013-04-30 @GeekFurious Hoping the show hasn't jumped the shark, though last night's effort certainly vaulted the…
