    Fifty Is Apparently Cool. I’m Temporarily Hip!

    NPR : 1957 Was the Year of the Icons Robert Siegel did a little culture piece today about 1957, the year that launched Sputnik, the X-13, and me. Apparently, Eisenhower dispatched the federal troops to Little Rock on the day I was actually born, although my parents were probably too busy at the time to notice. A lot of cool stuff happened in 1957. I’d better surf this trend as long as I can – probably 50 minutes’ worth.
