A Musical Group I’d Really Like To Hear: Reptile Palace Orchestra
This group contains one of the only Balkan rock cellists in the world – possibly THE only Balkan rock cellists: Seth Blair
The band’s bio tries to explain it all, but I think I’ll have to buy a CD on faith. Seth Blair used to appear every year at Seattle’s Folk Life Festival, and my friends and I were not exactly Seth’s groupies, but we did have his picture taken with Opus the Penguin one year, so we were more like “weirdies.”
I figure any musical group Seth is involved with must be worth hearing. And their website just makes me want to hear them more.
Hmm, more fractals on their website. I’m sensing a theme, or possibly some musico-mathemeticians in the group, or both.
